A QUIET PLACE
Amidst
the bustling way of life,
There is a special place,
Where suddenly the world is stilled,
No more the frantic race
To qualify, or gain more time
Or win a certain prize,
Just deep peace and security
Wherein much calmness lies;
There is no need to travel,
This place we all may find,
It's filled with deep contentment,
A tonic for the mind,
It's deep within our person,
That thought and mind can fill,
Where for a while the world is hushed
And life seems to stand still,
All earthly things excluded,
The door is open wide,
Beyond it all is quietness
And silence reigns inside,
Where thoughts can flow untroubled
And minds can wander far,
Where the soul can be replenished,
No matter where we are,
A visit to this haven
Is rich beyond compare,
Such joy in meditation
And peace, we can find there.
