I don't like to write on me,
For words can be so fleeting,
They change with time and memory,
And may not be worth repeating.
Instead I'll live a life worth telling,
One that's filled with love and light,
And when the time comes for introducing,
My legacy will shine bright.
The stories that are told of me,
Will be ones of hope and grace,
Of how I lived my life with purpose,
And made the world a better place.
The words that time will write for me,
Will be ones that truly matter,
For they'll be etched in history,
And forever serve as a reminder.
So I'll focus on the present,
And the person I want to be,
For in the end it's not the words we write,
But the life we live that sets us free.
