BURIAL AT SEA

Come away with me, wade in,
The shoreline tempts, an irresistible call,
But my fragile lungs know the truth within,
They won't bear the weight, they'll falter and fall.

Why does it taunt, this vast expanse,
With boundless freedom, ceaseless in its flow,
To come and go, as it pleases, by chance,
Teasingly, it whispers, cruel liquid dreams bestow.

Under moonlight's compass, I long to roam,
To travel through waves, where secrets reside,
Maybe, one day, my fears I'll disown,
Perhaps, the waves will carry me, my guide.

In the depths, I'll submerge, releasing my fears,
A burial at sea, where freedom and solace convene,
Embraced by the waves, transcending earthly frontiers,
Serenaded by whispers of the ocean's unseen.
