MAYBE

In the realm of waiting, love's tender grace,
Beyond the heavenly gate, in a timeless space,
I suspend my trembling hand, unsure of fate,
Questioning time, as beauty patiently awaits.

For a hundred years, I'll not commemorate,
Only until you, salvation's face, captivate,
Shedding tears like mountains, beauty's embrace,
Mercifully disintegrates, in a wondrous place.

Shooting stars, in fervent space, they glow,
Yet still, I wait, where destiny's winds may blow,
Above is fate, below, a foe in chase,
In the pursuit of love, a tender, enduring race.

Lost and losing, until beacons shine,
In your heart's depths, our destinies entwine,
The absolute purpose of all else, it's true,
You above all, in my patient, hopeful view.

Delays, once weaknesses, now awards I wear,
For my heart's exhaustion, a rest to bear,
Maybe you want to sleep, embrace the night,
Drift in stillness, as stars shimmer with light.

Ease your weary body, in the stream's embrace,
Float away from existence, find a peaceful space,
Surrender to the want, as dreams take flight,
Maybe you want to sleep, where day turns to night.

Touch the dark side of the moon, so radiant and bright,
A hidden sun within, waiting to shine its light,
Maybe you want to rest in the unseen's gentle birth,
In the comforting cradle of this welcoming earth.

Maybe you want to sleep, and find your way,
In the quiet serenity of the break of day,
A journey of dreams, a peaceful berth,
Maybe, my love, you want to rest, find your own worth.
