RESISTANCE

In skies, where explosives take to flight,
The streets resound with whispers of fright.
With parched throats yearning for gentle rain,
I glimpse shattered souls embracing pain.

Malevolent smoke, it chokes each lung,
Muted voices, every silenced tongue.
Despairing eyes, obscured by dust and tears,
Dreams ensnared in quicksand through the years.

Children's bodies buried in the rubble's embrace,
Yet, the world remains oblivious to their grace.
I rest in my bed, tears a ceaseless tide,
Witnessing siblings, innocence denied.

As I see their lives cruelly claimed,
Streets awash with crimson, hope maimed.
I pray for a tranquil morrow to borrow,
Yet, my heart now knows naught but sorrow.

I've witnessed blossoms cruelly entwined,
And happiness, by harsh hands, undermined.
Though I offer prayers in pain's despair,
True solace eludes, a burden too heavy to bear.
