I wish upon a whispered breeze,
My ears, vast oceans, wide and free,
To capture secrets, truths concealed,
In the echo, "Don't fall, don't yield."

Before love's thorns became my plight,
Before fears danced in the dead of night,
I yearned for counsel, a guiding light,
To shield me from love's hidden bite.

Oh, had I known the pain it brings,
Before my heart took flight on fragile wings,
I'd heed the caution, the sage advice,
Before love's storm unleashed its icy vice.

In the depths of love's abyss I'm lost,
Entangled in its labyrinth, tempest-tossed,
Yet once, I roamed in fields untamed,
Before love's siren song proclaimed.

"Don't fall in love," the refrain I seek,
To rewind time, to undo, to tweak,
Before I stumbled, before I fell,
Into love's chasm, its binding spell.

Was love ever gentle, kind, and true,
Or just a thorny path I misconstrue?
Can I reclaim the days of innocence,
Before love's web ensnared my sense?

I wish, oh, how I wish, to rewind,
Before love's grip upon my mind,
To reclaim the freedom I once knew,
Before love's shadows darkened my view.

Don't fall in love, let those words be heard,
Before love's song becomes too absurd,
I wish, oh, I wish, I had known,
Before love claimed me, before it's throne.
