Sugar’s silent grip,
Veins under siege,
Every step, a weight,
In a world unseen.

Eyes blur, dim light,
Wounds slow to heal,
Nights awake in fight,
Pain they conceal.

Needles pierce the skin,
Blood’s fragile dance,
A life lived within,
By fate's harsh chance.

Sweetness turned sour,
Dreams now restrained,
Hour by hour,
Energy drained.

Strength in their sorrow,
Battles hard fought,
Hope for tomorrow,
A cure dearly sought.

In shadows they strive,
With courage, they rise,
Keeping dreams alive,
Under weary skies.
