GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE

In the realm of bureaucrats and ties,
Lies a tale of joy and wide eyes.
A government employee, plain and true,
Received news that made his heart anew.

Oh, what a day, a moment so rare,
When he heard about his increased share.
A salary increment, a reason to cheer,
The sound of it tingling in his ear.

His face lit up, a grin so wide,
He danced around, full of pride.
No more counting pennies with strife,
He could now afford a lavish life.

With this newfound wealth, oh, how he'd roam,
Dreams of luxury, he'd make his own.
A Ferrari, a mansion, and golden bling,
But alas! A mere daydream, a fleeting fling.

For reality quickly brought him back down,
His increment lost to taxes' cold frown.
A comical twist, a humorous plight,
His dreams of excess, now out of sight.

Yet still, he found humor in the tale,
For in life's jests, joy would never fail.
He laughed at himself, a humble refrain,
Knowing happiness wasn't found in monetary gain.

So, raise a toast to the government employee,
Whose dreams soared high, then fell with glee.
For in life's comedy, he found his treasure,
In laughter, contentment, and simple pleasure.
