HYPOCRISY
In shadows deep, where masks we wear,
Hypocrisy, a dance unfair,
A masquerade of words and deeds,
Concealing truths, sowing false seeds.
Beneath the veneer of virtue's grace,
Lies a tangled web, a two-faced face,
With lips that smile, yet hearts untrue,
Hypocrisy, the art we often pursue.
In daylight's glow, we wear the guise,
Of saints, of angels in disguise,
But when the night descends like ink,
Our true intentions often blink.
We preach of love, of kindness, peace,
While in our hearts, dark secrets cease,
Hypocrisy, a poison in our veins,
A paradox that subtly remains.
Yet let us not condemn with haste,
For we, too, in this world are placed,
With flaws and foibles, we all must cope,
Hypocrisy's grip, a slippery slope.
Instead, let's strive for self-awareness deep,
To bridge the gap our actions keep,
In honesty and truth, we find our way,
To break hypocrisy's night and bring the day.
So let us seek the path of light,
Where honesty and integrity unite,
For in authenticity, we find our grace,
And hypocrisy's mask we can erase.
In every heart, a battle may reside,
But in the end, let love and truth preside,
For in the struggle to be real and just,
Hypocrisy's grip shall crumble to dust.
