SEPARATION'S GRIEF

In the depths of night, my heart does weep,
For in our love, a chasm wide and deep,
A rift so small, a misunderstanding's art,
Has torn us apart, has torn us apart.

We loved with fire, a burning blaze,
But now, in sorrow, we walk separate ways,
Our souls once twined in an embrace so true,
Now mourn the loss of what we once knew.

The echoes of your laughter still reside,
In the chambers of my heart, deep inside,
And in the silence, I hear your name,
A haunting memory of love's sweet flame.

Oh, how I wish I could turn back time,
Erase the words, the pain, the climb,
To hold you close, in love's warm grace,
And mend the fractures in this once sacred space.

But fate has dealt this cruel hand,
And now we wander, apart, on separate sand,
In grief, I find solace, in tears, relief,
For love like ours deserves no silent grief.

Though we may walk on different shores,
In our hearts, the love endures,
And one day, I hope our paths will mend,
And we'll find our love, around the bend.

Until that day, in my heart, you'll reside,
My love for you, it cannot hide,
In separation's ache, I'll find my way,
Back to your arms, come what may.
